Új Magyar Szó (New Hungarian Word) is a Hungarian-language Romanian broadsheet newspaper, based in Bucharest. It has one of the largest audiences of all Hungarian-language papers in Romania. The newspaper's readership is approximately 40,000.

History

Today's Új Magyar Szó is the heir of the former daily Előre ("Forward"). For only a few days after the fall of Nicolae Ceauşescu, it appeared as Romániai Magyar Szó ("Hungarian Word of Romania"). In August 2005 Romániai Magyar Szó ("Hungarian Word of Romania") went bankrupt.
