Ziegler's crocodile newt, Tylototriton ziegleri, is a species of newt in the Salamandridae family. It is so far known from Hà Giang and Cao Bằng provinces in northern Vietnam; there is a photograph to suggest it also occurs in Lào Cai Province. Based on molecular genetic data, Ziegler's crocodile newt belongs to the Tylototriton asperrimus group of knobby newts.[1]

Ziegler's crocodile newt is considered to be basically terrestrial outside the breeding season. The single known female was 71 mm (2.8 in) in snout–vent length (SVL); males were 54–68 mm (2.1–2.7 in) SVL.[1]
