Zgornja Rečica is a settlement in the Municipality of Laško in eastern Slovenia. It lies in the upper valley of a minor right bank tributary of the Savinja River in the hills northeast of Laško. The area was traditionally part of the Styria region. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Savinja statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on a slight elevation in the centre of the settlement, is dedicated to the Blessed Anton Martin Slomšek and belongs to the Parish of Laško. It was built in 1939.[3]
