Zero Tolerance Entertainment is an American pornographic film studio. The studios Third Degree Films and Black Ice are sister companies of Zero Tolerance.[1][2] The studio's films are generally classed as Gonzo pornography.[3]

History

The company was founded in 2002.[1] The name was chosen because the company pledged to have "zero tolerance for bad porn". [4] The first title ZT released was Who's Your Daddy Part One.[5] In 2005, ZT introduced sister studio Black Ice, which specializes in all-black and interracial content. [1] The same year Zero Tolerance offered Mike Tyson a role in one of their films, however the boxer rejected their proposal. [6] Also in 2005, the company achieved a publicity coup when its films were featured in the film The 40-Year-Old Virgin. In the movie, ZT films were amongst those given to Steve Carell’s character as a means of easing his sexual frustration. The titles featured were School of Cock, Grand Theft Anal and Virgin Surgeon. [7] In 2006, the company filed a lawsuit against AdultsAllowed.com, seeking more than $15 million in damages for copyright infringement. [8] In 2006 the company started included a bonus Spanish language track on all its DVDs, in an attempt to tap in to the increasingly important Spanish speaking demographic in the US and Latin America. [9] In 2007, the company signed a deal with Hustler TV to provide its content on the channel in North and South America. [1] In 2008, ZT brought a lawsuit against DVD rental site Movixo Inc., alleging DVD piracy. The case was settled out of court for $15 million. [10] The same year ZT released the first pornographic High-Definition Interactive DVD release, Interactive Sex with Bree Olson [11]

As of 2015, Zero Tolerance and it's affiliated brands are producing 10 new releases each month.
