Zeon Ltd. designs, imports, and distributes watches, consumer gifts, and electronic gadgets. Zeon Ltd. owns the Ingersoll trademark, produces watches under licensed brands, has an active character division producing gifts and gadgets, and is a supplier of own brand products to major retailers. Zeon Ltd. partners with almost all major high street retailers in the UK and their international counterparts.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Herald Group , Zeon Ltd. is the UK’s largest importer and distributor of timepieces.[1] Annual sales of over 2.5 million timepieces represent approximately 13% of total watch sales in the UK. Zeon Ltd. has a growing position in the world market place with a turnover exceeding GBP £39 million.

Zeon Ltd. is based in London where it has its own office, warehousing facilities that feature the latest technology in computerised pick and dispatch machinery, and a state of the art service centre. It also has offices in Hong Kong, the United States of America, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

History

Zeon Ltd. was established in 1979 as an importer of LED watches from the United States and East Asia.[2]

Invoking the character heritage of its brand Ingersoll, Zeon Ltd. brought the first children’s character watches to the UK and paved the way for wide-scale licensing of watches and gift items in the character sector.

In 1994, the company was acquired by the Herald Group, a diversified industrial group whose products are distributed worldwide. The Herald Group is a Hong Kong public quoted company with high net assets, healthy liquidity, and no bank borrowing.

In 1995, Zeon Ltd. started taking licenses to produce watches for lifestyle and fashion brands.

Over the past 35 years, Zeon Ltd. has expanded internationally and the UK now accounts for about a third of its overall business.[3] Today Zeon Ltd. has distribution partnerships in every major territory from Azerbaijan to Australia.

Watches

Zeon Ltd. owns the Ingersoll trademark which was first established in 1892. Ingersoll timepieces produced by Zeon Ltd. reflect the brand’s rich heritage and are enhanced with a contemporary design aesthetic. The Ingersoll brand is distributed globally in 50 countries.

As a licensee Zeon Ltd. partners with some of the most recognisable global brands including Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, and Braun.

Zeon Ltd.’s Braun watches and clocks have received numerous Red Dot Design Awards and iF Product Design Awards including two Gold iF awards for the Braun Classic Chronograph.

Character Division

Zeon Ltd. is a market leader in the licensed character trade. The company introduced character watches to the UK and since then has gone on to design and manufacture a top-of-the-range line of character timepieces, electronic products, and gift items.
