Yuval Tal is the founder and president of Payoneer, an Internet-based payment company.

Early life and personal

Tal was born in 1965 in Israel. He served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a special operations commander. Tal is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization.[1] Tal enjoys photography and earlier in his career, he studied photography at Parsons The New School for Design in New York.

Professional career

Tal began his career at Radware (NASDAQ:RDWR) in the position of VP business development. Later, he served as general manager of R-U-Sure Ltd In 1999, Tal co-founded E4X.,[2] amongst the world’s first Internet payment solutions company. Under Tal’s management, E4X grossed over $500M in the first five years, and in 2007, was rebranded and renamed FiftyOne. The company is noted for its innovation in Electronic commerce, as it enables retailers to market and sell products and services around the globe, in their customers’ local currency. FiftyOne customers can manage international orders, process payment in several currencies and oversee their operations. FiftyOne is headquartered in New York with its R&D division in Israel.

Tal established Payoneer in 2005, providing companies and business with secure and efficient online payout solutions. Exclusively set up for direct online payment to prepaid MasterCard® cards, Payoneer handles millions of online transactions per day. Payoneer’s technology platform allows web-based companies to pay subcontractors and others with an easy-to-use online service that is quick and reliable, without the need for standard money transfers or payment by check. Payoneer is a Program Manager for Choice Bank Limited and First Covenant Bank and a partner company of i2c inc.com. Privately owned, Payoneer employs over 100 professionals at its headquarters in New York and its R&D facility in Israel. The company is backed by funding from Greylock Partners, Carmel Ventures and Crossbar Capital.

Education

Tal completed high school in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. Following his service in the Israeli Defense Forces, he was educated at Tel Aviv University in Israel. He holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering, and an M.Sc. in biomedical engineering, minor in business administration. Tal served on the board of the ETA’s Technology Committee, where he exhibited an in-depth understanding of Internet transactions, online security and the overall workings of the e-commerce industry.

Current occupation

Tal is the founder and president of Payoneer that provides companies and businesses with efficient online payout solutions via direct online payment to prepaid MasterCard® cards.[3] Yuval Tal is conseidered an expert source when it comes to information in Ecommerce, Internet Technologies and he shares his knowledge on his technological personal blog.[4] He issued 2 patents related to payment transfer methods and multiple currency transactions.

Tal has investments across the board including Ginger, Superfly, Tactus, Relmage, Memphis Medical Center and others. Tactus has recently [5] raised $1.5 million in its first financing round.

Yuval Tal has also invested in Bar Refaeli and Dudu Balsar's new e-commerce lingerie company Undeez.[6] Another recent investment has been in ZooZ[7] - a comprehensive end-to-end payment solution

Lectures and Conferences

Yuval Tal also lectures in different summits and conventions all over the world. In 2009 Yuval Tal lectured at The Affiliate Summit conference about "Removing the Payments Headache" Yuval also participated and spoke at Take Charge summit 2011.[8] and more. Recently, Yuval tal participated at The Affiliate Summit West Conference 2012.,[9] that took place in Las Vegas, US.

Yuval Tal will participate and speak at the affiliate "Track'npay" conference. The conference hosted by Payoneer, will take place in Tel Aviv on February 2012 Yuval will be one of the speakers at the conference.[10]
