Yuval Pick, born in 1970 in Israël, is a dancer, choreographer and the director of the Centre chorégraphique national of Rillieux-la-Pape.
Biography
Yuval Pick began his dance career in Israel where he studied at the Bat-Dor Dance school of Tel-Aviv. He joined the Batsheva Dance Company in 1991 where he interpreted many roles in Ohad Naharin’s creations and existing works, as well as pieces by choreographers such as William Forsythe, Angelin Preljocaj, Hervé Robbe, Jiri Kylian and Vera Mantero. In 1999, he joined the Lyon Opera Ballet for two seasons. He founded The Guests company in November 2001, and in 2011 he was appointed director of the CCN of Rillieux-la-Pape.
Yuval Pick is holding as well workshops, masterclasses and summer courses in France and abroad in structures such as: CCN Ballet de Lorraine in Nancy, National Dance Center in Lyon, Choreographic center Scenario Pubblico in Catania (Italy), L'Addmi, the School of contemporary dance in Montreal, Bern Ballet in Switzerland, D.A.N.C.E European training program-Palucca Schule in Dresde, Dansa Valencia Festival, among others.
