CJ Brooks(born February 2, 1992) also known by his Stage name Yungen[1][2][3] (@YungenPlayDirty)[4] is an English Rapper,[5] Grime MC and Songwriter from South London.He was called “Yungen” by the older boys in his area and the name stuck with him. Yungen is Part of a rumor which said that Olympic athlete Jade Johnson is his sister.[6]
Life and Career
CJ was born in London he took the Stage name Yungen and started his career in 2012 with helping hand from hip hop duo Krept and Konan Yungen and the duo created singles such as Too Young,[7] the single was a track on the mixtape Young Kingz. After a wave of releases, Yungen joined the Play Dirty entity in 2012, spearheaded by the prominent Thornton Heath duo Krept & Konan. Since then he has released the well-received mixtape Project Black & Red and featured on the Young Kingz mixtape. In late 2014 after releasing Ain't On Nuttin featuring Sneakbo, the song was heavily remixed by artists including the likes of Stormzy, Snap Capone and Ghetts. Yungen has a slot on GRM Daily[8]
Musical remixes
In 2012 Yungen made a cover of Tyga's hit single Rack City. The song was recorded on Play dirty.
