Yun Hyon-seok (hangul: 윤현석 尹賢碩, August 7, 1984 – April 26, 2003[1]) was a South Korean LGBT poet, writer and LGBT activist.[2] He committed suicide in protest against discrimination against homosexuals in South Korea.[3][4] he was resistance of Social discrimination and racism, homophobia.

In 2001, he was debut in literary world, Poet and writers activity also columnists, Mainly some more poets. so he was severely discriminated against and prejudice, because his sexual identity. In 2002, he was joint to Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea. other he was Anti-war peace activity and Conscientious objection to military service. In april 26, 2003, Yun was drinking to two Korean distilled spirits and hang oneself Suicide,[5] Condemned of South Korean Homo-phobia, LGBT racism, exclusive-mindedness. because his death for revoked and Deletion of Gay, transgender is Obscene words specified for South Korean Youth Protection Act(청소년 보호법[6]). In March 1, 2000, he was pathways to Seil High-school in Bupyeong-gu. but, December 2002, he was Dropped out to that high school. After dropping out, he moved to the Dongdaemun District in Seoul and became involved in literary and LGBT activist scene there. Due to the criticism of the homosexual themes in his writings, especially by fundamental Christians, he was unable to write under his real name despite wanting to do so.[15][16] Instead he used the pseudonym Yook Woo Dang, a reference to the six objects he relied on most - green tea, cosmetic foundation, alcohol, tobacco, rosary beads and sleeping pills.

Yun was said Homosexuality is not a Mental Illness, not a freak. it's personal Taste. but, Yun was a devout Catholic, but Criticism of Christianity on homosexuality. so known it's because he have been largely despair.[19]

In April 11, he was withdraw from the Catholics, cause for backlash of Christian fundamentalist's homophobia.[2] but withdrawn in two days.[2] after, he was prayed daily, desire for do not homosexuals discriminated to his god.[2] Yun Hyon-seok was Suicidal determination, anger of some more Christians homosexuals hatred.

Death

In april 2003, he with more human right activists was preparations for May Day meeting.[7] long time age, he was a devout Christians. but despite for criticism from other Christians because his Sexual identity. yun was disappointed for a long time, however he was saved to his religious.[2][7] at once he had suffered or Homosexual discrimination and contempts. On 26 April 2003, he committed suicide on Dongdaemun street in Seoul by hanging himself.[23] In april 26 at three, Yun was drinking to two Korean distilled spirits(소주;燒酒) and he was hang oneself Suicide,[11] two days before death, before death two days, Yun was Create a six-page suicide note.[24]

His suicide note decried the discrimination against homosexuals in Korean society.[25] he was bequeath to ₩ 340,000 and the Rosary.[10] his suicide note said, "I be unencumbered.
