General Yun Chi-Wang(윤치왕, 尹致旺) (February 17, 1895 – December 21, 1982) was a Japanese ruler of Korean Medical doctors, scientists, South Korean Medical doctors, scientists, Soldiers, surgeons. His half-brother was Yun Chi-Ho. He was an uncle of Yun Bo-seon. Cusin of Yun Chi-Young. his nickname was Nampho(남포, 南圃), courtesy name was Sungun(성운, 聖雲).

Life

Yun Chi-wang was Son of Yun Ung-nyeol (1840–1911). His Elder Half-Brother Yun Chi-ho(1865–1945)'s mother Yun Ung-nyeol's Lawful wife Lee Jung-Mu (1844~1936), Chi-wang's mother was Yun Ung-nyeol's Concubine Kim Jung-soon (1876–1959).

In 1911, he entered Suwan Agricultural High School, dropped out in 1912. In 1913 Yun Chi-wang was went to participate in independent activities in China. However with Kim Kyu-sik's advice, his resolved Study, went to study in England to 1914. he was study to University of Glasgow and University Severance Hospital(Yonsei University alumni).

From 1927 - 1944 University Severance Hospital, 1938 Severance Hospital (Yonsei University Medical Center's predecessor) 2nd Hospital Director, 1st, 2nd Chairman of Korea's Maternity Society.

In 1948 as Enlisted South Korean Army Medical Officer, his ranks of Lieutenant Colonel. In 1950, he participated in the Korean War. March 1959 Retired, His ranks were South Korean Lieutenant General of Army, regular retirement in 1960. he was Uncle of Yun Bo-seon, 4th President of South Korea.
