Yseop (pronounced “Easy-Op”) is a privately held multinational computer software company with offices in Dallas, New York,[1] London, Lyon and Paris[2] that analyzes structured data and transforms it into written language in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German.[3]

Product

Yseop commercializes a natural language generation (NLG) software, which reasons on data and turns it into written recommendations and reports[4] at the speed of 3,000 pages per second.[5]

To date, Yseop’s software can write in English, Spanish, French and German.[6]

Yseop's software is used across a variety of industries such as the Financial Industry (including, for example Société Générale),[7] and the E-commerce Industry (for example, Vetonline.com and L'Oreal who both use the software to dialog with customers and generate suggestions in English for users).[8]

Recognition

In 2014, Tom Austin, Vice President and fellow at Gartner, cited Yseop, Narrative Science and Automated Insights as part of the Smart Machine, technological revolution that “has the promise to be one of the most disruptive changes ever.”[9]

In 2014, Yseop was also listed as one of the top 10 most innovative startups in France by the Electronic Business Group at the Digital Innovation Summit in Paris.[10]

In 2015, Yseop was honored as Leading Vendor—Digital Solutions for Financial Advisors 2015 by MyPrivateBanking Research.[11]

History

Research and development for Yseop's technology began more than 20 years ago with a team from the mathematical lab called ENS Cachan in France.[12]

Yseop first commercialized its product as a middleware at the end of 2008 and opened up its American subsidiary in Dallas, Texas in 2012.[13]

Yseop was co-founded by Alain Kaeser and the current CEO John Rauscher after he sold his start-up called Sunopsis to Oracle in 2006.[14]

Competitors

Competing companies in the NLG industry include Narrative Science, a firm based in Chicago, Automated Insights, a firm based in Durham, North Carolina, and UK-based Arria NLG as well as German AX Semantics.
