Air Marshal Younes Hamed (Arabic: يونس حامد; born 15 December 1959) is the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Air Force.
He was appointed to the post by President Mohamed Morsi on 14 August 2012, succeeding Reda Mahmoud Hafez Mohamed.[1] He is a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which was reorganized in September 2012.[2] On 4 November 2013 he was promoted to the rank of air marshal.[3]
