You Love Her Coz She's Dead are a British electronic music duo formed in 2007 whose music has been compared to acts such as Digitalism, Crystal Castles,[1][2] The Prodigy,[1] and occasionally Daft Punk. The band signed to French record label Kitsuné in 2008, releasing "Wizards" on the Gildas & Masaya – Paris compilation May 2008 & "Superheroes" on Kitsuné Maison Compilation 6 in October 2008 as singles before the release one month later of their Inner City Angst EP, as well as various remixes through that label.[3]
You Love Her Coz She's Dead then appeared playing the single "Superheroes" on the third series of award-winning British cult teen drama television series Skins in "JJ" (ep7) during a drug-fueled fight scene in a nightclub, following in the footsteps of previous featured artist appearances from Crystal Castles & Foals.[1]
You Love Her Coz She's Dead's digitally released track called "Paraffin" was written especially for Buffetlibre DJ's 'PEACE' Project for humanitarian charity Amnesty International.
They won the award for 'Best Electronica Act' at the 2008 Indy Awards.[2]
The band's self-titled debut album was released in August 2011 on Glasstone Records, with two singles from the album released prior to the studio compilation.[4]
In April 2012 the band released a statement via Facebook that Elle left the duo.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must announce Elle does not feel able to continue in YLHCSD for the foreseeable future. I will miss her. I hope this is not the end of YLHCSD. It is hard to think about, but I will try to look for a new vocalist, for a new record & shows. Jay"
According to the official Facebook page, Jay 'Rocky' Dead is now collaborating with Mia Mort since June, 2014. [5]
