"You Got the Floor" was a jazz-funk dance single by American guitarist and singer Arthur Adams. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 24 October 1981, reaching a peak position of number 38 and remaining on the chart for five weeks. Adams, who was a regular studio session player in Los Angeles from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, has played a variety of music over the years and is now a top blues performer in LA.
The record originally appeared on the small US label Inculcation owned by actor Bernie Hamilton, who produced the track.
