You Can Depend on Me (Brenda Lee song)
"You Can Depend on Me" is a song written by Charles Carpenter, Louis Dunlap and Earl "Fatha" Hines and performed by several people including Louis Armstrong (1931[1] and 1951), Count Basie (1939[2]), Earl Hines himself (1940), Nat King Cole (1957) and by Brenda Lee (1961). In 1962 it was featured on Lee's album Brenda, That's All.[3] Lee's "You Can Depend on Me" reached #6 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in 1961.[4] It is not the song of the same name, "(You Can) Depend on Me," recorded by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles in 1959.
