Yonca Şentürk (September 30, 1993) is a Turkish women's football defender currently playing in the Turkish First League for Konak Belediyespor, İzmir with jersey number 14.[1]
Playing career
Club
Yonca Şentürk obtained her license on May 30, 2008 during her education at Bozkurt Sports High School in Denizli, and continued to play until the end of the 2009–10 season for her school team, which competed in the Women's Second and Regional League.[1]
Following her high school graduation, she transferred to the Ankara-based Gazi Üniversitesispor, which had finished the 2009–10 Women's First League season as champion. For her new team, she debuted at the 2010–11 UEFA Women's Champions League - Group 1 match against the Bulgarian team FC NSA Sofia on August 5, 2010.[2] She appeared in all three games of the tournament's qualifying round.[3]
After one season with Gazi Üniversitesisspor, Şentürk signed with Konak Belediyespor in the 2011–12 season. Şentürk enjoyed league champion title won by her team in the 2013–14 season.[4]
International
She was called up to the Turkey girls' national under-17 team debuting in the friendly match against Bulgaria on June 26, 2009.[5] Şentürk participeated at the 2010 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualification matches. She capped nine times and netted one goal.[6]
Şentürk was admitted to the Turkey women's national under-19 team, and played her first match against Poland in a friendly game on January 31, 2010.[7] She took part at the 2011 UEFA Women's U-19 Championship First qualifying round - Group 9 appearing in all the three games.[8] She capped eight times for the women's national juniors.
