Yolanda was a weak, but devastating non-tropical cyclone which caused widespread flooding in eastern Europe.
Meteorological history
Yolanda was first identified on 14 May over the southern Mediterranean Sea near Algeria and Tunisia.
Impact
Throughout eastern Europe, 21 people were killed across five countries in floods triggered by the storm. Damage also amounted to $3.5 billion, most of which was in Poland.[1]
