Yngve Brilioth (1891, Västra Ed – 1959) was professor for church history, later for Practical theology in Uppsala, Turku and Lund, Lutheran Bishop of Växjö from 1938 to 1950 and Archbishop of Uppsala from 1950 until 1958.[1][2] He was the author of a history of the Oxford Movement, written to coincide with its centenary in 1933. He married the daughter of a predecessor, Nathan Söderblom.
