Ylljet Aliçka
Ylljet Aliçka (born 1951) is an Albanian writer and scriptwriter. He is in Albania mostly known as the author of the controversial novel A story with internationals, which satirises the diplomatic elite accredited in Albania.
Biography
Ylljet Aliçka was born on 23 June 1951 in Tirana, as the third child of a doctor and a seamstress, and was later raised from his father and stepmother. From 1969 till 1973 Ylljet Alicka studied Biochemistry at the University of Tirana. 1991 he finished his doctorate in didactics and was entitled "As. Professor in Didactics".[1]
Career
- 1974-1983: Elementary school teacher in the region of Mat, Albania
- 1983-1992: Expert in Didactics, Publishing House of Schoolbooks
- 1992-1997: Head of the Department for International Relations, Ministry of Culture
- 1998-2007: PR Agent of the Office for Information and Communication at the Delegation of the European Commission in Tirana
- 2007-2013: Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in France, Portugal and Monaco; Personal representative of the President of the Republic of Albania; Albanian Permanent Delegate-UNESCO
- 2013-up to date: Lecturer at UET (European University of Tirana)[2] and University of Arts
