The special service area of Yellow Creek is located in the parkland area of east central Saskatchewan within the Invergordon Rural Municipality No. 430. In 2006 the community had a population of 45 people. It previously held the status of village until August 15, 2009. The community is located north-east of the town of Wakaw on highway 41. It is named after the creek that flows through it. The area consists mostly of Ukrainian and Hungarian.
Demographics
Prior to August 15, 2009, Yellow Creek was incorporated as a village, and was restructured as a special service area under the jurisdiction of the Rural municipality of Invergordon on that date.[1][2]
