Yekaterina Vyachslavovna Smolentseva (Russian: Екатерина Вячеславовна Смоленцева, born September 15, 1981[1] in Sverdlovsk, Soviet Union) is a Russian female ice hockey player. She is a member of the Russia women's national ice hockey team. She plays also for SKIF Nizhni Novgorod.
Playing career
Smolentseva has appeared in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympic winter games with the Russian national team. She led the Russian team in scoring at three consecutive World Championships (2007, 2008 and 2009). During the 2009 tournament, she registered six points in just three games.[2]
