Yang Baohua (born September 1947) is a former politician of People's Republic of China.[1][2][3][4]
Life
Yang was born and raised in Hengshan County, Hengyang, Hunan, during the Republic of China.[1] During the Cultural Revolution, Yang attended the No.1 Hengdong High School.[1] He entered Central Party School of the Communist Party of China in September 1983, where he graduated in August 1985.[1][2][3]
He became involved in politics in December 1968 and joined the Communist Party of China in August 1972.[1][2][3]
From 1968 to 1983, Yang worked as a local officer in Hengyang, Hunan.[1][2][3]
After graduation, he was appointed as the Vice-Mayor of Hengyang, a position he held until November 1991, when he was transferred to Yiyang and appointed the CPC Party Vice-Chief.[1][2][3]
He served as the CPC Party Chief of Yueyang between April 1995 to January 1998.[1][2][3]
In February 1998, he was promoted to become the CPC Party Chief of Changsha, capital of Hunan province.[1][2][3]
In January 2003, he was elevated to the Vice-Chairman of Hunan People's Political Consultative Conference.[1][2][3]
On May 26, 2014, Yang was being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China for "serious violations of laws and regulations".[1][2][3]
