History

It has been widely used in south Indian temples pillars. Part of lion and elephant as a body and head. How it began

Written by Shamik Dasgupta, The Caravan is the first graphic novel published in print by Yali Dream Creations and widespread distribution in India. The book is available on some of popular Indian ecommerce websites like Flipkart, Homestop18 and more. It will be at the book stores like Landmark from Dec 7,2013, in India.

Next on production line is an adaptation of the Bengali classic Devi Chaudhurani. It is going to be a two part series. Besides Devi Chaudhurani, YDC has two other graphic novels in production: Warpath of the Kings, an epic action adventure depicting the little known last battle of Alexander the Great in his campaign for a global empire; and Scions of the Cursed King, a tale of love, lust, war and political intrigue set in a fantasy world inspired from Indian myths.

On an interview on Dec 1, 2013 with Shamik Dasgupta on Devi Chaudharani, he said this "Let’s take baby steps here. If Devi Chaudhurani is favored by the readers we might want to tell more stories of her and make her a long running character franchise. I am certainly open to reinterpret some other classics as well, there are so many more and it’s so hard to choose! But as I said Devi had hit me the hardest and I had made up my mind to make this book one day or the other. Thank you Yali Dream Creations, Asvin Srivatsangam for making this happen." [1]
