The Xi–Li Administration (simplified Chinese: 习李体制; traditional Chinese: 習李體制; pinyin: Xí Lì tǐzhì abbreviated as Xi-Li simplified Chinese: 习李; traditional Chinese: 習李) is the name given to the fifth generation leadership of Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang[1] that succeeded Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao in 2012 following the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
The fifth generation of the CPC leadership consists of: Xi Jinping who replaced current leader Hu Jintao as General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of China, and Li Keqiang who replaced Wen Jiabao as Premier of the State Council. Other top candidates includes Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan, Zhang Gaoli, Li Yuanchao, Liu Yandong and Wang Yang.[2]

The State Council

History
Xi Jinping was elected Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission at the fifth Central Committee Election of 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Li Keqiang is currently the party secretary of the State Council and the deputy leader of the Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs.
Following the 18th National Congress, Xi was named General Secretary of the CPC and Chairman of the Central Military Commission.
