XHTAO channel 6 is a Multimedios Television affiliate in Tampico, Tamaulipas that broadcasts an analog signal on channel 6 and a digital signal on channel 47. XHTAO broadcasts morning and night time local news program called Telediario de Tampico, which airs from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM CST and 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CST. Throughout the whole day it also aires road / traffic conditions for Tampico region. This station also broadcasts local professional sports teams programming.[1] XHTAO can be heard at 87.7 MHz on FM radios, though at a slightly lower volume than other FM stations - due to technical reasons.
In July 27 of 2012 it starts to broadcast digitally in channel 47 with a HD test card. In August 1st, the channel starts to broadcast the same programming of its SD counterpart.
