Wych Cross
Wych Cross is a town in the Wealden district of East Sussex about midway between London and the English Channel,[1] with a population of under 1000 people. "Wych" may refer to Elm trees,[1] or to St. Richard de la Wych, bishop of Chichester.[2] The town stands at the crossroads between Lewes and Brighton on the one side, and Maresfield, Eastbourne and Hastings on the other. Wych Cross is known to contain fine plasterwork,[3] and is adjacent to Ashdown Forest.
