This is a Chinese name; the family name is Wu.

Wu Yi (died 237) was a general of the state of Shu Han in the Three Kingdoms period. His younger sister, Empress Mu, was the empress consort of Shu's founder Liu Bei. Under the Shu regime, Wu Yi served as the Inspector of Yong Province and General of Chariots and Cavalry, and was enfeoffed as "Marquis of Jiyang". He previously served under Liu Zhang, the Governor of Yi Province (covering present-day Sichuan and Chongqing), in the late Eastern Han Dynasty before coming to serve Liu Bei.
