Wu Shih-wen (Chinese: 伍世文; pinyin: Wu Shìwén) was the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of China in 2000–2002.[1]

to Defense Minister Wu Shih-wen, the DPP became defense minister in power after the first one, a few of the cabinet with one of the Kuomintang party.

Wu Shih-wen in 1955 graduated from the ROC Naval Academy, after entering the Republic of China Navy staff college. He served in the shipbuilding engineer officer in 1958 involved 823 artillery, artillery in the Republic of China is responsible for military transportation and supply. He was promoted to Director of weapons, personnel, Director of Fleet Training Command Commander, Naval Academy Principal, navy deputy commander, Navy chief and other important team of staff officers.

In 2000 to accept ROC president Chen Shui-bian invited, as Defense Minister and has been awarded the highest honor the ROC military Kuomintang Medal. He was also the Democratic Progressive Party government.
