Wrightia angustifolia is a species of plant in the Apocynaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
opposite, narrowly lanceolate, tapering base, long acuminate but obtuse apex, glabrous, yellowish-green.
Trunk
willow-like; branchlets drooping; milky latex.
Flowers
creamy white, malodorous, mouth of corolla with series of erect scales (c0rona); Inflorescence - lax cymes.
Fruits
cylindrical follicles, two longitudinal grooves, dehiscent when dry; seeds numerous, compressed, tuft of hair at one end.
Ecology
scrub.
