Wovenwar is the self-titled debut studio album by American heavy metal band Wovenwar. Released on 5 August 2014 through Metal Blade Records, the album was produced by Bill Stevenson and mixed by Colin Richardson.[7] The debut single, "All Rise", was released on 21 April 2014, followed by
"The Mason" on 18 June 2014.[8] Wovenwar was generally well received by critics; at Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 71, based on 5 reviews.[9] The album's musical style has been described as hard rock,[1][2][6] alternative metal,[1][6] melodic metalcore[4][6] and modern heavy metal.[1][3]
In mid 2014, the band performed with Black Label Society on their first North American tour.[10] Additionally, the ensemble accompanied In Flames later that year while they travelled Europe.[11]
