Wouter Johannes van Troostwijk

Wouter Johannes van Troostwijk (1782–1810), was a 19th-century painter from the Northern Netherlands.
Biography
He was born in Amsterdam. According to the RKD he entered the Amsterdam drawing academy in 1803 where he took drawing lessons from Anthonie Andriessen and painting lessons from his brother Jurriaen Andriessen (the father of Amsterdam draughtsman Christiaan Andriessen).[1] From 1805 until his death he was concierge of the Amsterdam City hall.[1] He was the teacher of Albertus Brondgeest.[1]
He died young in Amsterdam.
