Woodland Hills is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 696 at the 2010 census.
Woodland Hills is an eastern suburb of Louisville and is entirely surrounded by the city of Middletown.
Geography
Woodland Hills is located at 38°14′21″N 85°31′46″W / 38.23917°N 85.52944°W (38.239270, -85.529448).[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square mile (0.6 km²), all land.
The community is located near the junction of Interstate 64 and Interstate 265.
Demographics
As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 696 people, 282 households, and 190 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,017.7 people per square mile (1,168.4/km²). There were 294 housing units at an average density of 1,274.7 per square mile (493.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.4% White, 4.3% Black or African American, 1.0% Asian and 0.4% American Indian or Alaska Native. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.1% of the population.
There were 282 households out of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.8% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.6% were non-families. 27.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the city the population was spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18 and 20.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40.4 years. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.4 males.
In the 2000 Census the median income for a household in the city was $59,904, and the median income for a family was $61,083. Males had a median income of $42,250 versus $30,156 for females. The per capita income for the city was $27,897. None of the families and 0.5% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
