Woman in Me (Louise album)
Woman in Me is the second solo album by the British singer Louise. Released in 1997, it peaked at no.5 on the UK album chart.
In October 1997, Louise released the single Arms Around the World which became (at that time) her highest charting single at no.4. This was quickly followed up by the single Let's Go Round Again (a cover of the 1980 hit by The Average White Band track) which reached no.10. A third single, All That Matters, was released in April 1998 and peaked at no.11.
By this time, Louise's popularity was at an all-time high. The album Woman in Me had been certified platinum for UK sales of over 300,000 copies, she was on the cover of various magazines from Smash Hits to GQ, and had been voted 'The Sexiest Woman in the World' by the readers of FHM magazine. The 'Louise Soft and Gentle No Sweat Tour' was also a success and was one of the first tours to be choreographed by Jamie King.
