The Wolves (Macedonian: Волци, transliterated Volci) are a special forces branch of the military of the Republic of Macedonia. The Wolves were the primary military force which engaged Albanian militias in the 2001 insurgency in the Republic of Macedonia. The "Wolves" also contributed to the US/UK coalition forces serving during the Iraq War, beginning in 2003 and continuing off and on through 2008.[1]
