Wolfgang "Teddy" de Beer (born 2 January 1964) is a retired German footballer who played as a goalkeeper with MSV Duisburg and Borussia Dortmund.[1]

Career

He started his career with TV Jahn Hiesfeld, before joining MSV Duisburg, making his Bundesliga debut for them on 22 May 1982.[2]

In the 1983/84 season he made his debut for the German U- 21 team.

De Beer Duisburg to join Borussia Dortmund behind the Rolf Meyer, who would later move up to the VfB Stuttgart. In his first game he played against Bayern Munich and kept a clean sheet.

The first title of his career was earned on 24 June 1989, a 4-1 win over Werder Bremen in the DFB Cup final.

After a serious knee injury de Beer ended his playing career after the 2000/ 01 season.
