Wolfgang Behrendt (14 July 1936 in Berlin) was a bantamweight amateur boxer from East Germany, who competed for the United Team of Germany at the 1956 Summer Olympics.
Amateur career
He won the gold medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics and became the first Olympic champion for East Germany.[1]
