The 15th District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in far southern Wisconsin, and is currently composed of parts of Dane, Jefferson, Rock, and Walworth counties.[1]

Current elected officials

Tim Cullen is the senator serving the 15th district. He was elected in 2010 to a four-year term. He previously served in the state senate from 1974-1986.[2] He is not running for re-election in 2014, and his seat will be contested by Democrat Janis Ringhand and Republican Brian Fitzgerald in the general election.[3][4]

The area of the 15th Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts:[5]

The district is also located partly within Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Paul Ryan, Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Mark Pocan, and Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Jim Sensenbrenner.[6]
