Winona is an unincorporated community in southeastern Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 44493.[2] The Winona post office was opened in 1868.[3]
Winona is named after the character Wenonah in the 1855 epic poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.[4]
