Wind Creek State Park is an Alabama state park located 7 miles (11 km) south of Alexander City. The park occupies 1,445 acres (585 ha) that includes(missing shoreline linear measurement) shoreline along the northern portion of Lake Martin, a 41,000-acre (17,000 ha) clear-water reservoir on the Tallapoosa River.[2] Wind Creek offers camping, swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, playgrounds, and trails for hiking and equestrian use.
