William M. Nickerson

William M. Nickerson (born 1933) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Nickerson received a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1955 and an LL.B. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1962. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant from 1955 to 1959. He was in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland from 1962 to 1985. He was an Associate judge, Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland from 1985 to 1990.

Nickerson was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Nickerson was nominated by President George H. W. Bush on January 24, 1990, to a seat vacated by Herbert F. Murray. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 11, 1990, and received his commission on May 14, 1990. He assumed senior status on June 11, 2002.
