Sir William Hackett (died 1877) was the 12th Chief Justice of Ceylon. He was appointed on 3 February 1877 appointed to fill the vacancy created with the retirement of Edward Shepherd Creasy. Hackett was Chief Justice for only a few months as he died of cholera while in office. He was succeeded by John Budd Phear.[1][2][3]
