William G. Parrett was the chairman of the Board of the United States Council for International Business between April 2005 and March 2010. Previously, Parrett was the CEO of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and the co-founder of the Deloitte’s Global Financial Services Industry practice serving as its first chairman.[1]

Parrett is a board member of the Blackstone Group, the Eastman Kodak Company (since November 2007), Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (since June 2008), IGATE Corporation and UBS AG (since October 2008). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Hall, the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation for International Business and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was also a board member of International Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the board of the United Way Worldwide and a trustee of the Catholic University of America.[2]

He is a graduate of St. Francis College in New York and a certified public accountant.[3]

Education

Parrett received a Bachelor degree (BBA) in accounting from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York in 1967. [4] In April 2007, he was conferred an Honorary Degree, Doctorate for Humane Letter, from the College.[5]
