William D. Morrow

William D. Morrow is a retired Pastor, District Superintendent for the Western Ontario District of the PAOC, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, President of Master's College and Seminary[1] He currently serves as an Associate Pastor, Discipleship and Leadership at Evangel Pentecostal Church In Montreal.[2]

Dr. Morrow’s ministry history includes three pastoral charges, professor and dean of students at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College, six years as District Superintendent of the Western Ontario District. From January 1997 to 2008, Dr. Morrow served as the General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.[3] Planning to retire, Bill was then asked to serve as the President of Master's College and Seminary. A position he held until the spring of 2013.

General Superintendent

"Bill" came into office during a time of social and cultural change. Cloning, the crisis in Iraq, the "Harry Potter" phenomenon were only a few of the major challenges facing the PAOC. As well, the restructuring of the International Office, as it is now called, was given top priority, a new way to support overseas missions was instituted, "access restricted nations" became the operative word and General Conferences became a time of spiritual impute first and business second. Priority One was initiated and Mission Canada, now called Mission Canada, is reaching Canadians with the Gospel through ethnic ministries, Deaf ministries, an energized Children's Ministries, and relevant men and women's ministries. Morrow's leadership was one of change and challenge yet through it all, he was the leader needed to lead the PAOC into the 21st Century where there is a renewed call for revival. He passed the baton of leadership on to Rev. David Wells, the present General Superintendent at the 2008 General Conference in Toronto on May 6, 2008.[4]

President of Master's College and Seminary

Under Bill's leadership, Master's College and Seminary once again became one of Eastern Canada's most desired learning institutions among Pentecostal leaders. A new mission statement was put in place to help clarify the purpose and identity of the College. During his years of leadership, MCS saw a move back to Peterborough Ontario, which led to an increase of enrolment in the years leading to his retirement. Bill also initiated a campaign to pay down the debt and bring financial stability to the institution, a task that no ordinary person could accomplish. Bill's giftedness and proven abilities help Master's sail through some of its most difficult years. He passed the baton to Rev. Richard Janes.
