William Coales
William Coales (January 8, 1886 – January 19, 1960) was a British athlete who competed mainly in the distance events.
He competed for Great Britain in the 1908 Summer Olympics held in London, Great Britain in the 3 mile team where he won the gold medal with his team mates Joe Deakin and Archie Robertson. He also participated, on the same day, in the five miles event where he was eliminated in the first round due to being not able to finish his heat.[1]
