Wickham Bishops railway station served the village of Wickham Bishops, Essex. It closed in 1964.
History
The Maldon, Witham and Braintree railway – which consisted of two branch lines from the Eastern Counties Railway station at Witham – opened for goods on 15 August 1848. Passenger services began on 2 October that year,[2] and a station originally named Wickham was opened that day.[1]
The station was renamed Wickham Bishops on 1 October 1913, and closed on 7 September 1964.[1]
