'Why' is the fourth Japanese single by 4minute. It was released in Japan on March 9, 2011, just two days before the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, in three different versions: two CD + DVD versions and a CD only version. "Why" entered in the Japanese Oricon Daily Singles Chart at #9. It ranked #16 on Oricon's Weekly chart and sold more than 10.000 copies.[1]

Release

On January 19, 2011 it was announced that 4Minute's fourth Japanese single, "Why", would be the theme song to the TV Asahi drama, "Akutou~Juuhanzai Sousahan". The music video for the song on February 7, 2011, and the single on March 9.

Promotion

Due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, promotions were limited in Japan during March, and the group's only TV performance was on Happy Music.
