Overview
Young Billy Coleman witnesses two neighboring boys getting a dog. He immediately decides to get hounds and hunt coons to help his family. He saves money for a year, earning enough to buy two Redbone Coonhounds. After raising the hounds, he becomes a successful hunter and has to deal with rival boys and a coon hunting competition.
