"When a Woman's Fed Up" is an R&B song by R. Kelly from his 1998 double album, R. The song reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. The video, directed by Kelly, features Kelly's protégée Sparkle as the woman who is fed up. The single and the video were released after Sparkle's debut single "Be Careful", a duet with R. Kelly, as a continuation of the story.

The music video is directed by R. Kelly.[1] The video was released after Sparkle's debut single "Be Careful" with Kelly and it is seen as a continued story to that video. This and "Be Careful" are two of Kelly's first solo-directed videos since She's Got That Vibe in 1991, as he usually co-directs with others.

"Be Careful" is an R&B song by Sparkle from her 1998 debut album, Sparkle The song reached number 3 on the Billboard Rhythmic Hot 100 and number 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Singles chart. The video, directed by Kelly, also features Kelly who both wrote, produced and composed this song. The single and the video were released before R. Kelly's single "When a Woman's Fed Up", which is the continuation of the story. Five weeks after the song was released it had already been played on the radio more than 40 million times in the US.[4] making it her biggest hit single as of yet.

Background

Due to a Billboard rule the song could not chart on the regular "Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart" in America.

Music video

The music video is directed by R. Kelly.[5] The video shows a regular African American family in the less fortunate places.
