Westward Airways (Nebraska)

Westward Airways (IATA: CN, ICAO: WWD, Call sign: Westward) was an airline based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, USA. It was a regional airline operating scheduled services in Nebraska and New Mexico.[1] Westward Airways ceased flight operations on July 25, 2005.[2]

History

The airline was established in 2002 and started operations on June 1, 2004.[1] In early July 2005 Westward Airways halted services to Alamogordo and three other New Mexico cities, saying it couldn't continue to sustain losses caused by low passenger numbers and insufficient subsidies. Later in July operations were stopped altogether.[3]
