Westville Congregational Church is a historic church located at Winthrop and North Walker Streets in Taunton, Massachusetts. The Federal era church building was constructed in 1824 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is the oldest standing church in the city.
It was originally located at the corner of Glebe and Oakland Streets. The West Congregational Society, composed of dissenters from the First Parish Church in Taunton, built a meeting house in Oakland in 1792.[2]
Westville was once a small mill village, named for John West. The mill was powered by the Three Mile River.
